Jim Denley works on these solo recordings with flute, alro sax, and a combination of the two he calls a Flax. All the tracks were recorded by Rik Rue in Sydney in December 1984 except "Cut" which was recorded live at the Roebuck, 108A Tottenham Court Road, London on 24 October 1984 by the British Library National Sound Archive using a Sony PCMF1 digital tape machine, sound recordist Chris Clark.
