Taken from the soundtrack to a documentary film of The Bauhaus Dances by Oskar Schlemmer in reconstructions by Margarete Hasting and Gerhard Bohner.

In the stage work, Walter Gropius saw an interplay of different disciplines comparable to architecture, forming an »orchestral unity«. From the structural relationship between the two arts, he derived the need to set up a Bauhaus stage. Here the elementary elements of "stage design" should be examined and reformulated. At the center of the Bauhaus stage was Oskar Schlemmer, who headed the stage workshop from 1923 to 1929. With his Triadic Ballet and the Bauhaus dances, he examined the tension between man and space and thus the fundamental conditions of theatrical design in the abstract and geometric play with form, color, sound, movement and light.

"Schlemmer's major choreographic work "Triadic Ballet" had its beginnings in the years prior to World War 1. It was performed at the State Theatre in Stuttgart in September 1922. In 1923, on the occasion of Bauhaus Week, there was a performance in the National Theatre in Weimar."

There is a rumour that Rik recorded this cassette directly from a TV broadcast of the documentary! So we have here a digitisation of the cassette, along with the actual soundtrack taken from the film's DVD release.
This Bandcamp release also includes over a dozen images from the documentary.
